Since November of 2013, Terry has been the booking agent of the folk duo, The Marrieds. It was a very exciting time for them as they embarked on a southern Ontario tour that encompassed more than 30 venues over seven months. This provided Terry with multiple opportunities to enjoy their music in vastly different surroundings. A nomination for Vocal Group of the Year at the 2014 Canadian Folk Music Awards capped an outstanding year for them. The Marrieds' website is at: http://www.themarrieds.ca.
Terry had the occasion to book Sweet Alibi for a private showcase at the FMO Conference in October of 2013. He was captivated by their music and was looking for an opportunity to reconnect with them. As luck would have it, they were looking for someone to help fill out their southern Ontario tour for June of 2014. Things worked out so well from that small booking experience that he started booking for the band full-time as of October of 2014. The band celebrated a win for Roots Group Recording of the Year at the 2014 Western Canadian Music Awards and a nomination for Vocal Group of the Year at the 2014 Canadian Folk Music Awards. Terry had many opportunities to see Jenie Thai perform, most notably at the Folk Music Ontario conferences in 2014 and 2015. What was always so apparent from Jenie’s appearances was the incredible energy and power of those performances, the beauty and range of her voice, and the absolute mastery of the piano. Initial work with Jenie on some folk festival booking led to more extensive tour booking in later 2015. Jenie celebrated a nomination for new artist of the year at the 2016 Maple Blues Awards.
